Waffle Corndogs

A crowd-pleasing snack for events, these waffle corndogs (or pronto pups) combine hotdogs with a flavorful cornmeal batter cooked in a waffle iron. Easy to make and fun to eat!

What you need
cup ap flour

cup heavy cream

tbsp sugar

cup milk

tsp kosher salt

cup cornmeal

tsp baking powder

Instructions
1: Cut hotdogs in half lengthwise and trim to fit your waffle iron. 2: Skewer each hotdog with a stick, if you want; if you want to go stick-less, that’s okay too. 3: Dip hotdogs into batter and cook until done. 4: To prepare the batter: Add egg, heavy cream, milk, cornmeal, AP flour, sugar, baking powder, and kosher salt into a blender and blend until smooth. 5: Pour the batter into a container deep or wide enough to coat your hotdogs. 6: Add spices as desired for extra flavor.View original recipe
