What you need

tbsp vanilla extract

cup flour

powdered sugar

oz strawberries

tbsp sugar

tsp kosher salt

cup yellow cornmeal

cup milk
Instructions
1: Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter a deep 10" pie plate. 2: Add 1 tbsp of sugar to the pan and shake gently until the sugar coats all the butter. 3: Add milk, 1/3 cup sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt, cornmeal, and flour in a blender. Blend at highest speed until smooth, about 1 minute. 4: Spread the sliced strawberries evenly over the bottom of the plate and then sprinkle 1 tbsp of sugar on top of the strawberries. 5: Pour the batter over the strawberries. Top with the sliced almonds, sprinkling them evenly over the batter. 6: Place in the center of the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, until the top is lightly browned and a tester inserted into the center comes out clean. 7: Just before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar.View original recipe
