What you need

tbsp butter

tsp kosher salt

cup flour

tbsp vanilla extract

tbsp sugar

powdered sugar

cup yellow cornmeal
Instructions
1: Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter a deep 10” pie plate. 2: Add 1 tbsp of sugar to the pan and shake gently until the sugar coats all the butter. 3: In a blender, add milk, 1/3 cup sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt, cornmeal, and flour. Blend at highest speed until smooth, about 1 minute. 4: Spread the sliced strawberries evenly over the bottom of the plate and sprinkle 1 tbsp of sugar on top. 5: Pour the batter over the strawberries and top with the sliced almonds, sprinkling evenly. 6: Place in the center of the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes until the top is lightly browned and a tester comes out clean. 7: Just before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar.View original recipe
