1: Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat. Add bay leaf, cloves, cardamom pods, and cinnamon stick; fry for about a minute. Add onion and cook until lightly browned. 2: Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for 1-2 minutes. Then add turmeric, chili powder, and paprika. Sauté until fragrant, letting the masala slightly stick to the pan. 3: Add shrimp and cook until they turn pink. Pour in coconut milk, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook until the curry thickens and the shrimp are fully cooked.
